Details of Vacancy:

Sr. Technical Officer

No. of posts/Reservation Status : 01 UR
Post code & area : T-01(a) ;  Pharmacognosy
Pay level in pay matrix : Pay level -10
Age limit not exceeding : Upper age limit : Not exceeding 35 years.

Desirable experience : Handling experience of HPLC, HPTLC, UPLC, and GC-MS for bioprospection, Chemotaxonomy and herbal drug development as evident from SCI publications/ patents.

Job requirement : (i) Field collection of medicinal plants, phytochemical analysis using analytical instruments like HPLC, HPTLC, UPLC, and GC-MS and selection of elite germplasm, (ii) Preparation of extracts, quality control, herbal drug/ product development.

Essential Education:

Sr. Technical Officer (Pharmacology)
M.Sc. Botany/Chemistry/Microbiology with minimum of 55% marks or B.Pharma with minimum of 55% marks, and two years working experience in the area of Pharmacognosy/ Chemotaxonomy/ Herbal drug development.

M.Sc. Botany/Chemistry/Microbiology with minimum of 55% marks or B.Pharm with minimum of 55% marks, and two years working experience in the area of Pharmacognosy/ Chemotaxonomy/ Herbal drug development.

Benefits under Council service
a) These posts carry usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the Central Government employees and as made applicable to CSIR. Council employees are also eligible for accommodation of their entitled type as per CSIR Residence allotment rules depending on availability in which case HRA will not be admissible.
b) In addition to the emoluments indicated against each category of posts, benefits such as applicability of New Pension Scheme 2004, reimbursements of Medical Expenses, Leave Travel Concession, Conveyance allowance and House Building Advance are available as per CSIR rules.
