AIIMS Pharmacist CRE Syllabus & Exam Pattern (Official)

The AIIMS Pharmacist CRE examination is conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT). The examination consists of General Knowledge & Aptitude, Computer Knowledge and domain-related questions based on the educational qualification and experience applicable to the post.

AIIMS Pharmacist CRE Examination Scheme

1. Examination Duration

The duration of the examination shall be 90 minutes.

2. Total Questions & Marks

The examination consists of 100 MCQs carrying a total of 400 marks. Each question carries 4 marks.

3. Question Distribution

There will be 20 MCQs related to General Knowledge & Aptitude and Knowledge of Computer, while 80 MCQs will be related to the respective domain.

4. Domain Syllabus Level

The domain part of the examination will be based on the level of education qualification and experience mentioned for the applicable post. For Pharmacist, the source document specifies D.Pharma/B.Pharma.

5 Sections of the CBT

The question paper will be divided into 5 sections. Each section will have 20 questions and will be available for 18 minutes.

Important: Each section will appear one by one. Once the specified time for a section has elapsed, access to that section will be disabled and the next section will automatically become active.

Important Section-wise CBT Rules

  1. Each section will appear one by one during the 90-minute examination.
  2. Each section will remain active only for its specified duration of 18 minutes.
  3. After the section time expires, the next section will automatically become visible.
  4. Candidates will be allowed to attempt questions only in the currently active section.
  5. After moving to the next section, candidates will not be allowed to return to the previous section.
  6. Candidates should attempt all possible questions during the allotted time, including reviewing skipped questions or questions marked for review.
  7. The examination will be submitted automatically after the specified examination duration.

Medium of Examination

10th / 10+2 Qualification Posts

For groups where the qualification is 10th, Matriculation or 10+2, the examination will be held in English as well as Hindi, making the question paper bilingual.

Technical / Degree Qualification Posts

For posts requiring specific technical domain knowledge or posts carrying Bachelor’s or higher qualification, the medium of examination will be English only.

Combined Examinations

Where posts with different qualification requirements are included in a combined examination, the medium will be English only.

Final Decision

The decision of the competent authority at AIIMS regarding the medium of examination will be final. Requests for changing the medium will not be entertained.
