Indian Air Force Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for Medical Assistant / Pharmacist Trade

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification inviting online applications from eligible male Indian and Gorkha (Subject of Nepal) candidates for recruitment to the Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant Trade, including candidates holding Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Pharm, and B.Sc Pharmacy under Airmen Intake 02/2027. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from 06 July 2026 to 26 July 2026.

Educational Qualification

Medical Assistant (10+2)

Candidates must have passed:

• 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks
• Minimum 50% marks in English

OR

• Two-year Vocational Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with the same minimum marks.

Medical Assistant (Pharmacist)

Candidates must possess:

• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
• Minimum 50% aggregate
• Minimum 50% in English

AND

One of the following:

• Diploma in Pharmacy
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• B.Sc Pharmacy

with:

• Minimum 50% aggregate marks
• Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.

Age Limit

For 10+2 Candidates

• Born between 01 July 2006 and 01 July 2010

For Pharmacy Candidates

Unmarried

• Born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2008

Married

• Born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2006

Physical Standards

Salary

During Training

• ₹14,600 per month (Stipend) After Successful Training
• Starting Gross Salary: ₹26,900 per month

Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

Phase I

• Online Computer-Based Test

Subjects:

• English
• Reasoning
• General Awareness

Duration:

• 45 Minutes

Negative Marking:

• 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

Phase II

Qualified candidates will undergo:

• Physical Fitness Test
• Adaptability Test-I
• Adaptability Test-II
• Document Verification

Physical Fitness Test

1.6 Km Run

• Up to 21 Years: Within 7 Minutes
• Above 21 Years (Diploma/B.Pharm/B.Sc Pharmacy): Within 7 Minutes 30 Seconds

Additional Tests

• 10 Push-ups
• 10 Sit-ups
• 20 Squats

Phase III

Medical Examination including:

• Blood Tests
• Urine Examination
• ECG
• Chest X-Ray
• Vision Test
• General Medical Examination.

Application Fee

• ₹550 + 18% GST

Payment can be made through:

• Net Banking.
