The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-5 Notification 2026 for various Group B & Group C posts across AIIMS and other Central Government institutes. Pharmacy candidates can apply under Group Code 12 – Dispensing Attendants, Pharmacist and Pharmacist Grade II.

Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria & Participating Institutes
The educational qualifications and age limits differ slightly across the three designated post groups.
1. Dispensing Attendant
- Pay Scale: Pay Level 4
- Age Limit: 21 – 27 years
- Essential Qualification:
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized University/Institution.
- Registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
- Participating Institutes: AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Raipur, and AIIMS Patna.
2. Pharmacist
- Pay Scale: Pay Level 5
- Age Limit: Generally 21 – 27 years (up to 30 years for AIIMS New Delhi and CNCI Kolkata; 18–25 years for Dr. RML Hospital).
- Essential Qualification:
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized University/Institution/Board.
- Must be a registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
- Note for Dr. RML Hospital & RHTC Najafgarh: Registration with State Pharmacy Council is required along with 10+2 Science. Higher degree holders (B.Pharm) are also eligible to apply.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in manufacture, storage, or testing of transfusion fluids or drugs dispensing in a reputed hospital/industry.
3. Pharmacist Grade II
- Pay Scale: Pay Level 5
- Age Limit: 21 – 27 years
- Essential Qualification:
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized University/Institution.
- Registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in the manufacture/storage/testing of transfusion fluids in a reputed hospital or pharmaceutical concern.
- Participating Institutes: AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Deoghar, AIIMS Guwahati, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Rishikesh, and AIIMS Patna.
Scheme and Pattern of Examination
The selection will be done strictly based on the merit achieved in the online Computer Based Test (CBT). No skill or trade test is applicable for the pharmacy group (Group Code 12).
- Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 90 Minutes
- Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 400 Marks (Each question carries 4 Marks)
- Negative Marking: 1/4th mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Medium of Exam: English only.
Sectional Distribution:
The examination question paper is timed sequentially and divided into 5 sections of 18 minutes each. Candidates can only solve the currently active section.
- General Component (20 MCQs / 80 Marks): General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Knowledge of Computers.
- Domain Component (80 MCQs / 320 Marks): Core pharmacy syllabus in accordance with the standard educational qualification (D.Pharm/B.Pharm level).
Minimum Qualifying Marks
To be considered for the final merit list and institute allocation, candidates must achieve the category-wise minimum cut-off percentage in the CBT:
- UR / EWS: 40%
- OBC: 35%
- SC / ST: 30%
- PWBD: 30% (irrespective of category)

AIIMS Pharmacist Syllabus 2026
According to the notification, the 80 domain questions will be based on Pharmacy subjects as per the educational qualification prescribed for the post.
Application Fees
The application fee must be paid online via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking. Fees are separate if you choose to apply for positions in different post groups.

- SC / ST Candidates / EWS: ₹2,400/- (Refunded to SC/ST candidates who actually appear for the exam)

How to Apply for AIIMS CRE-5 Pharmacy Posts
- Visit the AIIMS official examination portal: www.aiimsexams.ac.in.
- Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) to generate your Candidate ID and password.
- Log in and carefully complete the online application form for Group Code 12 (Dispensing Attendants/Pharmacist/Pharmacist Grade II).
- Upload clear, high-quality images of your passport-size photograph, signature, and left-thumb impression as per specifications.
- Pay the application fee online and download the printout of the Registration Slip and Payment Proof for future verification.
Important Note: Make sure your OBC-NCL or EWS certificates are issued for the Financial Year 2026-2027 (valid on the basis of income ending March 31, 2026). Keep all educational and registration certificates handy before the closing date.
