🎓 Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or institute:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Degree in Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology.
2. Age Limit (As of Application Deadline)
- UR / EWS: 30 years
- OBC: 33 years
- SC / ST: 35 years
- PwBD: Relaxable up to 10 years
💰 Pay Scale & Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in Level-8 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC. This ensures an attractive starting basic salary along with central government allowances (DA, HRA, TA, etc.).
⚠️ Defense Service Liability: Selected candidates may be liable to serve in any Defence Service or post connected with the Defence of India for a period of not less than 4 years (including training period). However, this liability will not apply after 10 years of service or after attaining the age of 45 years.
📝 Duties & Job Responsibilities
As a CDSCO Drug Inspector, your core responsibilities under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 will include:
- Inspections: Monitoring licensed drug manufacturing facilities, evaluating manufacturing processes, testing protocols, and storage environments to guarantee product potency and purity.
- Sampling: Procuring drug samples from manufacturers or dealers for detailed laboratory analysis.
- Investigations: Looking into complaints and cases surrounding spurious, counterfeit, or substandard medicines.
- Legal Actions: Launching legal prosecutions against entities violating the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
