Now Pharma. D (Doctor of Pharmacy) candidate can apply for the post of the pharmacist in AIIMS

AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) has made amendment in the Rule of recruitment for the post of Pharmacist. Now Pharma. D student eligible to apply for the post of Pharmacist in various AIIMS throughout India. Now once the AllMS placement is operational, other government hospitals across the country are bound to follow suit in creating job openings for Pharm D candidates.

PharmD or Doctor of Pharmacy is a professional degree in pharmacy stream. Pharm D course duration is six years in total inclusive of 5 years of learning and one year of internship for practical learning. The only doctoral degree that can be pursued right after passing 10+2 qualifying examinations. Moreover, PharmD can also be pursued by BPharm graduates by seeking admissions to lateral entry course i.e. Pharm D (Post Baccalaureate).

But in India, These are no opportunities for the candidate having a degree of DOCTOR OF PHARMACY (Pharm. D). Regarding this issue, many students struck against PCI for job creation.

On 23rd July 2020, Recruitment cell of AIIMS, New Delhi has made this amendment according to MoHFW Gazzette notification dated 16.07.2019, Govt of India.
